Glendon is set in a quiet enclave near to the centre of Matlock and it matches all expectations. Adrian and Damien are charming and helpful hosts and their operation is efficient, friendly and respectful. South-facing rooms overlook a tree-lined dale, the nearby charming parish church occupying an elevated limestone tor above. A five minute walk, crossing the River Derwent by a footbridge, leads to the ‘village’ centre with restaurants and antique shops.
