Reducing the Risk of COVID-19
Last updated 18th July 2021
Although many restrictions have been relaxed for the benefit of guests, our staff and the local community we continue to take some actions to help minimise the risk from Covid. The vast majority of these actions will not be ‘visible’ to our guests, as we want you to enjoy the time you spend at Glendon Bed and Breakfast.
The information below shows what actions we are taking to minimise the risk to everyone.
Please help us by arriving as close as possible to your stated arrival time. If you are able to depart by 10am to allow us to prepare the room for our next guests, we would be grateful. If you feel unwell whilst with us please inform us immediately.
To minimise risk to guests & staff we are not routinely servicing rooms at this time. We will replenish any items you require. If you would like us to service your room, we will not touch the bed or your belongings. We ask guests to open windows to ventilate the room prior to us servicing. There will be increased cleaning frequency of high touch points in public areas.
The house is spacious which aids social distancing. Even though restrictions are relaxed we would ask guests to remain mindful of social distancing. Staff will continue to wear a face-covering when serving breakfast. We leave the decision about face coverings when moving around Glendon to individual guests.
Hand sanitiser is provided in the entrance, dining-room and sitting room.
All rooms are Glendon are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with a non-toxic, odour free disinfectant certified to European standard EN1276 & EN14476.
Breakfast is served at individual designated tables, at a safe distance. At this time we will continue to serve all food and drink at your table.
Our staff have been trained and educated regarding best practice when cleaning and disinfecting.
All our linen and towels are washed by a professional laundry service. All our pillow and mattress protectors are changed and cleaned between guests.
Working to Industry Standards
We are working with industry standards (AA/Visit England) and Government guidelines. Visit England have confirmed that we are compliant with the guidelines to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing. Our primary aim is to keep us all as safe as possible. We have applied for accreditation to provide assurance to guests that we are doing all we can to suppress the virus.
We also have a full risk assessment and you can access a full copy HERE. We will continue to revisit our risk assessment and make necessary changes when advised to do so by industry standards and/or government guidelines.
