Peak District to #UniqueDistrict – it’s competition time!
Have you visited the Peak District?
Have you visited the Peak District? If so, now is the time to share your experience. Derbyshire is home to much of the Peak District, which has been a National Parks since 1951. It was the first national park to be designated in the United Kingdom.
There are many activities and events throughout the year in the area. Whether it be visiting one of the great historic properties, walking one of the edges, rock climbing, water sports of just meandering through the many villages and market towns.
The local tourist board, Visit Peak District and Derbyshire, is celebrating the great diversity and experiences the area offers with a competition. From the 3rd September tweet @vpdd using the hashtag #UniqueDistrict to share your experiences and memories of the area.
#UniqueDistrict is not simply things that are unique to the area whether it be livestock, Bakewell Pudding, or enjoying afternoon tea, to name just a few. It’s images about anything memorable or exciting from your visit to the Peak District or Derbyshire. Every experience, landscape, great meal, accommodation, whatever you remember counts.
Take a look at @vpdd on twitter for more details about the competition. There are a range of great prices to be won. Happy tweeting and good luck…
